Rev. Ashley B. Rossi, Associate Pastor
Ashley Rossi is an ordained minister of Word and Sacrament in the ELCA. She grew up in western Pennsylvania, and as the daughter of an organist, was active in church life from a young age. She graduated with a B.S. in accounting from the Pennsylvania State University in 2002, and moved to Philadelphia to take a job in public accounting. It was at that accounting firm where she met her future husband, Jim, who she married in 2007.
After working as a CPA and financial analyst for Johnson and Johnson, Ashley was called to the vocation of ministry. She holds a Master of Divinity from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia (2012). In her first call, she served as Pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. There, she discovered her desire to work ecumenically, becoming a board member of the United Churches of Lycoming County. She volunteered as a worship leader at the county prison, where she developed a heart for the incarcerated population.
At Carmel Presbyterian Church, much of Ashley's time is focused on youth and young adult/family ministries. Continuing her work of ecumenical and community outreach, she hopes to grow Carmel's church family, and strengthen our ties to other churches in the area.
Ashley's writings have been featured in several publications, and she has also served as a guest lecturer and spiritual leader. Her passions include social justice issues, building community, and re-imagining church in the 21st century. Ashley lives with her husband, three children, and pit bull in Glenside. To contact Rev.
