Jon Nelson, Sexton

Jon Nelson assumed the position of Carmel sexton, in May, 2025. He considers himself self-taught in a variety of skills and has done roofing, siding, housing, carpentry from building to cabinet making, and janitorial work for 7 years.  He also does his own design work in auto-CAD and then gets blueprints approved. Jon likes hands-on learning, problem solving, and using common sense. He enjoys coming to work at Carmel and likes to keep busy. 

Jon was born in Norristown and grew up in Texas and King of Prussia. He is the youngest of 5 siblings. He attended Upper Merion High School before joining the military, where he served for 3 years and earned his GED. Jon is the father of daughter Tara and son Tanner. Although gutting his Philadelphia row house and redoing everything from wiring to drywall keeps him busy, Jon does enjoy gardening and fishing, recently at his brother's in South Carolina. .
