Congregational Life, a committee of Session, draws members closer to each other and to God. Our intention is to help everyone feel welcome and a part of our Carmel family by creating a space filled with Christian love. We plan events, celebrations and activities that promote Christ-centered fellowship. God cares for people through people.

Holiday traditions at Easter, including this year’s popular resurrection of Easter bread making; Harvest Festival, Advent Wreath Making and Christmas brunch. An all-church summer picnic and movie nights are also popular.

The pandemic changed everything about the way we build community at Carmel. In 2020-21 we hosted events designed to engage members and help them to continue to feel connected to our community of faith. Drive by and delivery events provided a safe way for our congregation to remember they are loved and to give them a chance to show their love for others. We connected a mission component (collection) to benefit local organizations in need such as Laurel House and the Interfaith Food Cupboard.
