Carmel’s April ‘Cook-in with a Twist’ met its goal of filling 300 trays of nutritious pasta meals for Caring for Friends. Non-profit CFF distributes daily meals to over 2,000 homebound clients in the 5-county Philadelphia region. Carmel members and friends donated food supplies and funds, cooks prepared casseroles with lovingkindness, and meal tray assemblers adeptly scooped and packed. In addition CYM youth members and leaders assembled 12 dozen Breakfast Bags for CFF families with school-age children to enjoy healthy breakfast items. Thanks to all of the many volunteers and Coordinators Sue Lohoefer and Katey Schuyler in support of this Christ is Calling mission project under Carmel’s Board of Deacons.
