Senior High Retreat

Jan2014_SrRetreat_PoconosRefugeRenewal Reaching out
The purpose and vision of the youth ministry at Carmel Presbyterian Church is to provide a place of refugerenewal and reaching out.

In February, our Sr. High students went on retreat to Kirkwood Camp in the Pocono Mountains. The weekend was full of activities, including games, s’mores, a hike through the snowy camp and a study on agape: God’s unconditional, grace-filled love for us.

We also visited a local race track, and spent an afternoon putting our race car skills to the test.

Each year we hold a Sr. High Retreat- sometimes it is a joint event with other churches!  If you’re a 9th-12th grader, we hope you’ll join us next year.

In addition to our annual retreat, our Sr. High group meets weekly at our Wednesday night Refuge youth group.  We have 3 dynamic Sr. High leaders who are passionate about exploring questions about faith, sharing their own stories of what it means to know Jesus, and tackling the topics and stressors of what it means to be a Christian teen.  We are open and welcoming to all who would like to join us on Wednesday nights, for retreats, or any of our other numerous activities!
