Carmel Presbyterian invites you to join us at 8:30 am every Sunday for our all-age Christian Education Hour! We break down into the following age groups:
One-Room Education for all pre-school and elementary aged students meets in the upper level of the Education building (enter through glass doors, go straight through doors to Nursery School building, ascend the stairs to your left- classroom is at the top!)
Jr/Sr High class meets in the “loft” (enter through glass doors, turn left, pass through the narthex and ascend the stairs next to the chapel.)
In the fall of 2011, we switched our curriculum to “Witness” through Augsburg Fortress publishing company. We’ve found this curriculum to be very user-friendly for teachers, and a great way to invite our children to experience the Bible! Another added bonus is that is follows the liturgical year.
Our Jr/Sr High class is using the “Faith Questions” curriculum this year- which is published through the Presbyterian Church (USA).
We have a 7 member Confirmation Class who meet in the Associate Pastor’s office.
Our Adult Education classes are currently meeting in the chapel. Dr. Thornton is walking the class through our Faith:101. It’s a re-introduction to Presbyterian theology and beliefs.
