Abigail Vander Hart Palmisano is the Organist and Director of Music at Carmel Presbyterian Church. Abigail (Abby) is the organist for all worship services, director of the church’s four vocal choirs, and co-director of the handbell choir. She also oversees and has performed in the Tuesday Noon organ concert series at Carmel produced on behalf of the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.

Abby received her Master’s degree in church music/organ from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, and her undergraduate degree from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. She has also studied harpsichord at the University of Michigan. She enjoys attending continuing education seminars at Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ.

Abby resides in Dresher with her husband David and is the proud mother of two sons.  She was raised in Sioux Center, Iowa. Her musical studies began at age four from her father Gary Vander Hart. Besides playing the organ, she studied piano for twelve years, cello for ten years and harpsichord for two years. In her spare time, Abby personally enjoys walking with friends and gardening.
