CONFIRMATION CLASS

Waterfall

Confirmation Class normally runs for several months  and includes a trip to Washington D.C.  Confirmation Class members are received into active membership of the church on or around Pentecost Sunday. Rev. Jim Thornton and Rev. Abigail Rusert will be leading our classes this coming academic year. Which is awesome.

YOUTH GROUPS

FRIDAY NIGHT YOUTH GROUP

SUNDAY NIGHT COFFEE HOUSE

Sunday Night Coffee House is a consistent program for youth in grades 9-12 which also extends to college-age students when home on break.  It is usually held on the 2nd and last Sundays of the month from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. in “The Loft” by the bell tower).  This is an open environment for youth to feel comfortable in a safe atmosphere where they can hang out with friends, play games, enjoy refreshments, and engage in discussion.  During summer and winter breaks, more Coffeehouse nights had been scheduled to accommodate the youth’s interest in meeting.  In December 2008, we held a brunch at Carmel for Coffeehouse youth in which ten youth attended.  This was our first special event and it was a great success.

To date, we have had between 3-10 youth and 2-3 leaders in attendance.  It is a small but dedicated group which has continued to grow as youth have brought friends from the community.

Leaders:  Karen Wurster and Katey Schuyler
