Greetings Carmel Family and Friends!
We are headed down (and over) to Joplin, MO this summer in conjunction with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance to respond to the Spring 2011 tornado that destroyed so much in that small town. There are 32 participants in our trip this summer.
We’ll be staying at First Presbyterian Church in Joplin from July 1st-July 7th. Most of our trip will include disaster response, but we’ll also have a chance for a day-trip to St. Louis, MO where we’ll learn about the history of the “show-me state.”
If you would like to Buy-A-Mile of our trip, please send a check to Carmel Presbyterian church (write “JOPLIN” in the memo line), 100 Edge Hill Rd., Glenside PA 19038 (Attn: Associate Pastor). Flying miles are $15 each and driving miles are $12 each. We’ll be flying into St. Louis, MO and driving (4 hours) down to Joplin. Keep us in your prayers!

-April 21st (Saturday) 5:30-8:00pm, Spaghetti Supper/ Talent Night/ Silent Auction for Joplin trip. Event Timing: 5:30-7:00pm, Spaghetti Supper & Silent Auction, 7:00-8:00pm, Talent Show.
-May 26th (Saturday) 9:00am-2:00pm, @ Carmel Presbyterian Church, Joplin Mission Trip Car Wash.
-June 10th: Joplin Mission Trip Hoagie Sale Pick-Up (delivery option to church picnic!) Look for order forms in bulletin inserts!
-June 16th (Saturday) Father’s Day Parents Night Out, Ages 3-11, 6:00-10:00pm, Carmel Hall. Games, crafts, movie and snacks provided. Kids will bring a bag dinner.
-June 23rd (Saturday) 9:00am-2:00pm, Joplin Mission Trip Car Wash @ Carmel Presbyterian Church.
