Enjoy The Sounds Of The Season With The Pennsylvania Youth Chorale
The Pennsylvania Youth Chorale junior choir (grades 2-4) and senior choir (grades 5-8) will present a Winter Concert of seasonal music at Carmel Presbyterian Church Saturday, December 17, 2016, at 7:30 PM. The program entitled “Sounds of the Season” will include “Carol of the Bells,” “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire,” a jazz version of “Jingle Bells,” and other well-loved holiday songs.

The children will perform pieces by Hungarian composer Zoltan Kodaly, American composer Randall Thompson, and Pennsylvania composer Charles Davidson. Forty-five angelic voices will be accompanied by organ, flute, and a variety of percussion instruments. The finale willfeature the combined junior and senior choirs performing “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town,” and to close the program, the Parent Chorus will join the children for our annual performance of “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.” Everyone is invited to join the choir and artistic directors at a reception after the concert.
